DATAPROTECTION We at Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH, Neumarkter Straße 28, 81673 Munich, HRB 157869 (hereinafter referred to as “SONY MUSIC” or “we”) take the protection of personal data very seriously. Compliance with legal regulations concerning data protection is a matter of course for us. In the following we would like to inform you how and to what extent we use and process personal data of our users.


Internet users under the age of 13 years must provide the e-mail address of their parents so that we can obtain their approval for registration. We reserve the right to make individual offers subject to a higher minimum age limit.


SONY MUSIC advises all parents and guardians to instruct their children on secure and responsible use of personal data on the Internet. Children should not submit any personal data to the SONY MUSIC website without the consent of parents or guardians. SONY MUSIC will never knowingly collect personal data from minors, to use it in any way or disclose it to third parties.

We collect personal data about you if you submit such data to us e.g. by registering on our website or contacting us. This data includes, among other things, such information that you submit when registering on our website, when ordering newsletters or other services as well as the purchase of downloads.

We also use “Cookies” with the help of which we collect information about the use of the SONY MUSIC website. Cookies are small text files which are saved on your computer. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR DATA TO ARTISTS Insofar as you have expressed your interest in information on certain artists, we will transmit your data where appropriate to the relevant artist and/or their management. They can then use the data in accordance with this policy to keep updated on information about you.

STATISTICAL ANALYSES We can disclose certain statistical data about the purchase and the use of the contents of our website to third parties for market research purposes. Such data can obtain for example demographical data on age group and/or geographic location of groups of users. Statistics of this kind do not contain any personal data (such as name or e-mail address). Sometimes we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, which are text files that are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of this website will be passed on to a Google server in the USA and saved there. Use of Facebook plug-ins On some Internet sites plug-ins from the social network are used, which is operated by Facebook Inc., S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). When you visit a webpage on our website that contains this plug-in, a connection is made to Facebook’s web servers which then instructs your web browser to display the plug-in on that webpage. The Facebook server will automatically receive the information on which of our websites you have visited. If you are a Facebook member and are also logged in, Facebook will associate this information with your personal Facebook account. When using the plug-in functions (e.g. clicking on the “like” button, making a comment), this information is also assigned to your Facebook account; you can only prevent this from happening by logging out before using the plug-in. CANCELLATION, ACCESS AND RIGHT OF REVOCATION/OBJECTION You will find instructions on how to unsubscribe in every e-mail that we send out to you. If you not wish to receive these communications, you can send us an e-mail informing us so. We will comply as soon as possible with your request to remove your personal data from the distribution list and not send any emails to you in the future. You are entitled to view the personal data we have stored in relation to you at any time and free of charge. Furthermore you have to right to correct false data, to block or delete them. You can revoke any given consent at any time with effect for the future. Furthermore you can always object to the use of your personal data.
